Senior Producer

Responsible for the execution of video, television, radio, podcast, as well as affiliated still & event productions from inception to completion, working within the creative and budgetary parameters set forth by the client, agency Creatives and Account teams, while maximizing the production value and being mindful of agency profit. The Senior Producer is the primary manager of all budgets, schedules and communications for content production jobs. 


Client/Internal/External Relationships

  • Work closely with Creatives, AE’s and PMs to determine the creative and business objectives of all content related jobs and facilitate the most creative and cost-efficient production of those jobs, managing all aspects of production and post production as the job progresses, ensuring the work is on strategy, on time and on budget
  • Represent the agency in a highly professional manner at all times, but especially when in the company of clients
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Creative team, Account team, Project Management team and other relevant internal bodies to facilitate maximum productivity and efficiency on all jobs
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure the best possible rates while maximizing our production value with their services
  • Assist with the training and development of Associate Producers and Producers


  • Generate detailed production schedules of all jobs and communicate changes regularly to creatives, AE’s, PMs and vendors
  • Maintain accurate production folders and records of all jobs produced for reference and job history
  • Maintain accurate files on servers, updating on a regular basis
  • Act as a resource for all agency personnel and clients with regard to general motion/audio/content industry information 
  • Continuallyincreaseknowledge of all aspects of agency content production, available production and post production resources, technology and industry trends

Business Development

  • Responsible for the production of new business pitch videos as required
  • Pursue new ways to contribute to overall agency and client profitability
  • Assist VP/Director, Periscope Studios and Executive Producers in development of internal motion/audio/content production capabilities and processes


  • Responsible for recommending directors, shooters, editorial/special effects/animation companies and music/sound design companies for consideration in the production process
  • Obtain and analyze competitive bids from various production and post production vendors to ensure cost efficiency
  • Negotiate production and talent rates to ensure the best possible rate while maintaining a high production value
  • Provide timely and accurate estimates of all broadcast jobs and monitor the budgets throughout the production process
  • Negotiate talent rates & payments (Non-Union& Union)
  • Monitor talent and residual payments with Account Services and signatory
  • Facilitate payment of residuals and use fees
  • Maintain accurate talent records
  • Facilitate the payment of production crews as necessary for internal produced jobs
  • Complete POs and invoice reconciliation in a timely manner
  • Book and manage travel for all agency personnel, clients and talent involved in production, if required
  • Manage all productions & communication in Agency-wide project management platform, Workfront


  • In-depth knowledge of video/audio/image file formats, talent (SAG/AFTRA &Non-Union), AICP/AICE bid forms, film/video production, radio/podcast production, post production procedures and broadcast trafficking required
  • MAC based computer experience necessary
  • Ability to analyze bids and create detailed budget reports

  • College education with emphasis in communications or advertising preferred
  • 5-10 years motion production experience
  • Agency content production or film production company background preferred
